NEWSLETTERS - 7 + 2 Project

Arrived at the South Pole15 January 2014

I have just received a phone call from Jing Wang and Mark Whetu who have arrived at the South Pole, the first destination of the 7 + 2 Project. My weather forecast from Meteotest suggests that it will be cloudy on 14 and 15, and sure enough the plane that is to take them back to Union Glacier could not fly today, but apparently is expected to fly this evening. Once Jing and Mark are back to the ALE camp at Union Glacier I should get more news about their South Pole trek and when they are likely to fly to the Vinson Base Camp.
